Sugar is one of the largest venture builders in Southeast Asia – the world’s fastest growing region – with significant presence in Singapore and Vietnam, and multiple partnership arrangements across the region. Unlike traditional accelerators or incubators, Sugar will unearth great start-ups from the idea stage, provide seed funding, help organic growth, and lead to a flourishing exit.
Responsibilities
With the fast growing and ambitious group of businesses, you will be playing the lead role covering the full spectrum of Finance and Accounting of Sugar Ventures and its subsidiaries worldwide.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
• Ensuring Compliance of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards
• Preparing and consolidate Company’s management reports and present financial information to Management and Shareholders
• Handle overall financial control and accounting
• Handle treasury operations
• Prepare financial statement, tax returns, forecasts and budgets
• Liasing with bankers, external auditors, company secretary, tax and legal advisors and other regulators on new businesses as required
• Payroll
• Any ad hoc projects assigned by the Management
Requirements
• Must possess a Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience as Accountant or Finance Manager
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Strong analytical problem solving skills
• Ability to work within tight datelines and having sense of urgency
• You MUST be a team player
